“As a mother, I noticed my children gradually drifting away from their Greek heritage during their high school years. Determined to help them stay connected, I began organizing social get-togethers and attending Greek events with them—strengthening our family’s ties with other Greek families in the community.

During this time, I also gave back to the community—volunteering as Secretary of the Regional Council of Montreal and as a member of the Public Relations & Marketing Committee of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal (January 2023 – March 2024).

For years, my children and I closely followed local Greek schools, associations, non-profits, and entertainment companies – always making sure to share event information with our network of Greek friends. But word-of-mouth wasn’t enough.

Many young Greeks never heard about certain events, while others missed out due to overlapping schedules and lack of coordination and communication among Greek organizations. Witnessing these communication gaps– while also watching my children grow more proud of their Greek heritage – inspired me to take the next step.

That’s how Greek Youth was born:
A central hub where Greek youth can easily discover social events, cultural experiences, and community opportunities – all in one place, without needing to rely on friends or family to find out what’s happening. Greek Youth solves this problem by bringing everything together in one easy-to-use platform.

And while we are proudly rooted in Montreal, our vision doesn’t stop there.

We hope to expand this platform across Canada—wherever Greek youth exist—to help build bridges between communities, cities, and generations.”
